Meh, are you claiming Trump wasn't grifting before Farage? Trump has been at it since the 80s.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -

ledbydonkeys really are a bunch of arseholes.
Who funds them to do their schoolboy japes?

Trump's been grifting for a long time, but he was just a reality TV star and dodgy real estate guy while Farage was successfully getting UKIP far more coverage than it probably deserved.
In terms of being a politician, I don't see much of Trump in Farage (aside from the obvious similarities that they are both right wing populists). Farage has been playing the real ale drinker, "anti establishment" card for donkeys years.

Well, I suppose it makes a change from fixated on the EU. Creepier though. (Though I must admit I've no idea what they are trying to say.)

Yet another jibe that scary leftie Rayner will be the one really running things. They like a bogeyman and they killed the EU so need a new one.
0 -
Of course the left have never had any bogeymen (or bogeywomen) 😄
Although I'm confused, people on here keep on telling us that Brexit isn't done, so how can the EU not be a bogeyman any more if that's the case?

At least if California doesn't work out, he might get on the right wing comedians' circuit.

They're crowdfunded as far as I can tell. Not sure what is arseholeish about unfurling a banner that ridicules someone.

Oooh look what we did, aren't we naughty boys? Grow up.

I find some of their roadside billboards faintly amusing...
Not a massive fan of pulling stunts like unfurling a display screen, surely it's just generating more publicity for Nige.

Yes it's a bit childish. That said, Russian politicians have literally been tweeting their support for Farage so it's hardly an exaggeration. How is it different from any other protest banner?

Haha, I hope so. Seems more motivational once the possibility of totally humiliating the Tories is brought to people's attention, especially given Sunak's gall of now pretending that we're better off than in 2010.

I'm sure Putin wants a UK government that's soft on defence and that's probably how he sees Labour.

I'm not sure austerity really goes and continuing the trend of cutting army numbers really shouts strong on defense.

This is the issue the Tories have. They keep pulling up all these ‘bad things’ Labour will do and their record means you can just go back with a retort that they have already done that.

Back out today with warnings of the dangers of an unchecked Labour majority. Do they not have people looking at the impact of their announcements to work out which ones work and which don’t? They’re also wittering on about Labour skewing the system to benefit them in future elections. You would think interviewers would mention voter ID back to them.

Maybe they do, and everything else they say performs worse!

Is Sunak supposed to be campaigning for Labour? Has he misread the brief??

What a shocker, labour are to the left of the Tories.
Sunak warning that bears may use woods to sh!t in.

I find Vorderman incredibly tedious these days (as I do any celebrity that gets overly political).

So what is anyone's expectation of the number of seats for each party now we're in the home stretch?
0 -
If we're putting our neck on the line and only allowing a 10 seat window I'd opt for 120-130 Tory seats.
LDs at 40.

Labour around 450, Tories around 100, Lib Dem about 50 with Reform getting 2 or 3. I still think a lot of Reform votes will turn to Tory once inside the booth.
0 -
I'm going for 160-180 for the Tories, with an emphasis on the shy Tory effect. LD 20, Reform single digits if any.

I'm going:
Labour 460
Con 90
LD 60
Green 2
Reform 1
