That would require a level of self awareness.

I suspect, given her flipflopping from ardent Remainer to swivel-eyed Brexiter, she'd be one of those people who can find a principle to fit any point of view she picks from the hat in the morning. That said, her lack of contrition, self-awareness or intelligence might make a retreat from her loonacy unlikely.

To be fair to her, support for Ukraine is about the only thing she's ever been consistent in her views.

Farage tweeted that her budget was the best ever (or something). Since deleted.

Aye that’s why I wrote “should” 😆.
Normal standards do not apply in this case!

Indeed, but I'm not sure how that might have been affected since her cosying up to the Trumpian faction in the US. It would be interesting to ask her directly now, and if she'd risk alienating the faction which she feels at home with.

Yebbut she was once a staunch Remainer... still, I live in hope that she's not changed her tune on Ukraine.

That was Feb this year

She once wanted to abolish the monarchy, now she wants to abolish everything.
It would be good if she could stick to her guns on Ukraine, but she hasn’t the influence she thinks she has
She thinks the world would be a safer with Trump in power. 🤷♀️

So now the Conservatives have decided they can withdraw support for the candidates who showed some initiative and a flair for making money.

They plced money on the correct day and therefore displayed a level of competency that is unacceptable to the current Conservative Party. Standards must be upheld.

He is so so so bad. Now renders their pathetic defence lines yesterday redundant too. Worst of both worlds.
So bad.

All it would have taken was a 24-hour "We're reviewing the situation as to whether suspension while the investigation is ongoing is warranted", then some sensible (yeah, haha, I know) discussion about the optics of various courses of action. But they seem to be in the Johnsonian mindset of merely pushing problems down the line, by lying if needs be. By the time they make the right decision (if they do), the damage has already been done. Idiots.

As I keep telling my clients, you need to stop evaluating people on the premise of their cv.
Just because a role someone did requires x competency to do it well, doesn’t mean they had it or did it well. Doubly so when it’s a leadership role and the latent performance of the organisation hides the lack of leadership performance.
you need to actually evaluate their core competencies.

A train somewhere else as far as I can tell. Perhaps underground.
And more understably, a relatively quick resolution.

The woman who considers having a surveyor in her field to be 'a nightmare' may need to develop some perspective.

She has 3 strings of pearls to clutch. This is serious stuff…

I think this highlights the sense that a lot of people don't have the ability make an informed judgement of other people, their general personality and qualities. I think a lot of it comes from experience of having met and interacted with a wide range of people (which most haven't), and also a gut instinct around human traits and behaviours.
Essentially you can either spot a bullsh1tter in 5mins or you can't!

Why did they even bother trying to defend the candidate for Bristol North anyway? Presumably they would have round up everyone under 70 on 4th July to stand even a small chance of winning there even without any scandal.
I just went to check who the expelled candidates are and their websites are both redirection to https://www.conservatives.com/
Uncertain Times, Clear Plan, Bold Action 😄

Beat gluing themsleves to motorways I guess.

Anyhow, after careful consideration of the parties national manifestos and local candidates election material, I have stuck my vote in the post today.

You're mistaking the green party for environmentalists.
They're more like a brand that Mike Ashley has taken over now, still got the name recognition but nothing like what they used to be.

Sure. I think all the evidence on Sunak was that he was not performing at the level that his CV suggested he was.
All he really did was make the money printer go BRR in covid. Which is what literally every other Western treasury did.
His judgement on Brexit, judgement on eat-out-to-help-out, his disastrous leadership campaign all pointed to someone who was already heavily over-promoted.
These f*cking idiot tories couldn't see the would through the trees. He had a plummy accent, he wore overly tight suits and he can look presentable in a - i don't know how to wear tailored suits or shirts - kind of way.
That was it. Even my idiot bosses keep saying "oh, he's a finance guy, he'll look after the City" despite the glaring evidence to the contrary. Good job my bosses are retiring soon - the world of talent management has moved on.

Most of them look like they would struggle to get up out of a deep armchair, don't think the superglue would be required.
