Any cricket lovers on here?

Problem England seem to have is they think they find someone, and then it turns out they're made of glass.

I can't decide where I fall on this, it's always been said there is no room for sentiment in sport which I largely agree with so admire McCullum's ruthlessness to an extent but in Anderson's case I'm surprised he doesn't get an Old Trafford send off because we won't see his like again in test cricket, England or any other country.
We have arrived at this point however because as Jim points out there are and have been plenty of talented seamers but none that can actually stay fit for any length of time.

Just heard his comments on it, he doesn't think he'll make it to the Ashes as a 43 year old, so that gives 15 tests to get experience into someone who will.

I dislike this school of thought. England should be aiming to win the 15 tests and pick their best team for each of those matches. They lost to the West Indies last time precisely because of this.
It reminds me of when Gooch retired. He was one of the best batsmen in the world, but had a couple of poor series at 40, so was retired. He then just dominated county cricket for a season or two.

Who's got World Cup fever right now for the big grudge match?

Looks like the Jocks may get lucky. The rain is going to stop them getting an absolute hammering.........

Alternatively England dodged a bullet! 109 off of 10 would not have been simple.

Cricinfo’s win predictor thingy had England at 87%!
I thought it may of been a “little” optimistic!

There's an interesting stat about England having never beatedn a European team in a T20 cricket world cup match!

The win predictor is hilarious. Especially for T20 where 1 over can easily make a huge difference either way.
I think I've seen it as high as 95% before a team has been beaten in the past.

Approximately one time in 20?

Agreed. It's even worse when DLS gets invovled

USA have Pakistan 30-3 after 6. We may have a game...

34 needed from 4 overs for usa to beat Pakistan. Could well be on.

Some very good death bowling here

Super Over!
Pakistan's bowling was so good. Until it wasn't.

Pakistan playing comedy cricket. They're currently awful

USA! USA! USA!
If I ever type that again it'll be too soon.

Great entertainment for a neutral.

I really enjoyed it. Thanks to Pakistan for inexplicably throwing it away twice.

I could mention Pakistan's history with dodgy bowling, but that doesn't seem fair...

From the looks they were giving the bowler as he sent down wide after wide in the super over, the team wasn't in on any scheme.

It was rather entertaining to watch him gesticulating at his fielders for sloppy work before the wides.
Pakistan seem to be one of those teams that once the wheels come off, then they revert to a group of individuals all wearing the same kit rather than a team pulling together in adversity.
Good win for Scotland last night as well. Did well to restrict Namibia at the death and survive a slow start to the run chase

South Africa struggling to chase 104 against the Dutch, it's another low scoring game at New York.

Apparently they went to watch the Yankees last night. Maybe took inspiration - there was no runs from either team through the first 10 innings and nobody cleared the fence all night.

SA on 32 runs off 10 overs, meanwhile Aus get 22 from their second over alone.

Australia currently smashing the English attack out of the park. Already 65 runs on the board in 4 and a bit overs.
