Morning folks,
Earlier start than is traditional as the lad has appeared early, he's taking the EPO out later. I've got to be around for the female child as she is trying to do her dissertation and is stressing rather a lot. If I'm not here to feed her she just won't eat. Should be a good opportunity to get a few things done though.
Glorious weather forecast at least.

Looks lovely out, so after getting supplies in town, having fiddly watch bracelet adjusted and exercising the hounds will be going for a ride later on. Riding buddy has the lergy so will just be a solo job round the lanes. If still warm later we'll sit out and have a drink.

Wife back off holls, bike needs to go into the repair shop as I’m flummoxed with it.
no riding for me :(
BBQ later

Morning all. Glorious Sun 🌞 outside since early doors. Local parkrun done and mutt walked. OH being picked up later then hopefully new bike fettling. Converting it to tubeless, then cheeky test drive.

Early ride was had in this glorious weather. That was after faffing with an inner tube stuck to the tyre and came apart on me it's been in that long.
Yesterday's mowing was quickly curtailed by grey smoke and some popping and banging. Took the plug out to a deluge of petrol?!?! Wtf. I guess the carb had failed but instead of fiddling with it, elected to pop in the spare Honda motor. Far superior to the Briggs and Stratton and i'm much more familiar to to having rebuilt the thing as a 'Spares or repair' job on fleabay. 5 hours later, finished the mowing at 6.30pm.
The B&S is supposed to be 12.5hp* and the Honda 11. Must be bollox 'cos the thing is like a Rocket now.
*Compression is A1.
Fuxxed now. Unexpectedly windy and the wind picked up on way home which meant I screamed back until... I caught up with a blonde female cyclist and had a conducive chat.

Afternoon.
Nice and sunny but a bit breezy. Went for a bike ride which was very nice apart from the bugs getting stuck to the sun screen on my limbs. Later is one of Mrs W bosses silver wedding do, I wonder if it will be the usual free bar. New approach shoes have just arrived as well.

What the heck is an 'approach' shoe?
seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -
It’s what you wear when approaching or scrambling up to a cliff. Fancy name for walking shoes that you can wear to do easy rock climbs.

I see.
We are finally getting a local bouldering centre locally. I'm looking forward to it. Nearest one is 78 miles away and it's not that good. It has an arch but not that big/long I like.
What do you recommend for a budget shoe?

What's bamboozled you this time?
seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -
To be honest I wouldn’t know. I currently wear Sportiva Muria VS which are toe down and quite stiff and are not budget by any means. I would try some of the shoes they have on hire and see what you get on with.

Hang on a mo'. Now that we have finished approaching the cliff I need to change my shoes to something more suitable. Thank god I packed an assortment in my 65ltr backpack. I've got ballet pumps to relax in later...
Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

Glorious sunshine. Shopping shopped. Clothes ironed.
Just back from a gentle 10 mile post covid spin with the wife. Nice and flat and easy. Not feeling too bad tbh. Deffo not fit, but legs and lungs are working. Back to prep lunch while she's gone on to do 40 odd miles. Sat in garden with long cool beer. Nice.

At least a couple of pairs of rock shoes, your rack and rope or if your bouldering a couple of pads. Never mind the spare clothing and food and drink.

If you get a mo, send out search party for B3. Not seen him post on here in a little while.

I could have answered that. 😎

3 hours of zone 9 training on the bike this sunny morning. Some chores in the sun, now sat in the sun sipping a desperado and planning mischief while I watch Mrs Seano sun her bits. No debauchery as she has a 10k race in the morning.

Hard day running, cramping for the last 28 miles! Now drinking

I was over that way just now and didn't see him, there were a few distractions mind.
I didn't click the like on TLW's post as whilst it may be a good effort in some perverse sense, it's a bloody stupid thing to be doing as I may have mentioned.

'Zone 9'? F*ck off.

Unlike your average Joe maxing out at 7, my knob goes all the way to 11.

Is that the one on your head😉

Finishing off tiles and wiring in LED lights on daughters new kitchen. Warm!

If you were cramping for the last 28 miles how many miles did you do. 😨
I'm only just starting to build up to marathon distances.

Ollie Alexander’s effort makes you proud to be British 🤦♂️

If only you could spell his name correctly.

You have to forgive him as he's been in the Zone 9 hurt locker.
However, methinks Seano might be sarcy. Ollie is maintaining the long held tradition of 'royaume Uni; nil points'. Fair play to him.

47 and lots of climbing - great event though
