Morning les zèbres
Cloudy start like yesterday which turned out beautiful.
I'm off for a decent pedal so I bet you it will stay cloudy.

Morning people.
Sunny and bright. Feeling loads better after covid. It's amazing how that when you start to feel better you realise just how ill you were!
Hope I can get in a gentle ride this weekend now.

Managed to find the bleeding* parts to sort my brakes out last night, 2-3 day delivery now even on an express service.
Ran yesterday, was utterly garbage so going to the gym tonight. I need to kick myself up the backside and get fit again.
Desk driving today.
*in more ways than one.

Biomass boiler - sounds like a euphemism for the wife 😛

Afternoon Skivers and Wage Slaves,
I could have started this thread I was up so early to pedal into work. It was one of those early starts where you wake up and it takes a few moments to remember what day it is and where you need to be going...
Busy morning, just chomping my way through a big lump of chicken & bacon pasta with cheese sauce. Mmmm...

I'll not tell her that one 😬

You just need to think it and she'll ask why you're smirking.

Afternoon folks,
Another busy day in the orifice, pleasant enough wobble in though, a bit hazy but it's cleared up now and supposed to be sunny all day. The Undertones 'Here Comes the Summer' has just come on to reinforce the point. We've got the new owners in for a visit so I have to be on best behaviour, I've only made one crude joke in front of them so far. Hopefully they won't come in here again.
I do believe it's Wednesday so I should be venturing out to a local hostelry later.

As yesterday was the official start of the week and therefore being Monday, you're a day early.

Will you get the drip stand through the metal detector?

Since it was a nice day and I thought I was feeling better I trundled down the road to the charity shops with my bags of clothes and suits to donate. It's only a 5 min walk each way with a gentle slope down and then back up again. OMG! It half killed me!! The dreaded lurg really knocks it out of you when you get it bad. I was wheezing like a 40 a day smoker when I got back.
Off for a nice lie down and a snooze I think.

Don't tell him that, he'll hit the bottle and pills in abject despair given he wasn't in very good shape before the lurgy struck

But, but, but, the chap that comes into the office on Thursday and Friday was in today so I'm a day late by that reckoning. Good job I went to a pub yesterday to be sure. Maybe I should go tomorrow as well to be sure, to be sure...

Yes, you can't be too sure. Best go Friday too.

The sun finally came out for todays Boomers ride. A pleasant stop at the Spirit of Yorkshire distillery for lunch followed by a suggestion by the two dentists that we might call in at the Pipe and Glass for end of ride refreshments. So I arrived home late full of Wold Top beer with 92 miles in the legs. Mrs W was remarkably unperturbed by this but she is holiday planning mode and as I might be wearing a post op sling I can’t say we need to go somewhere where I can climb/ cycle.
