Saturday, skipping the light fandango
Morning les lépidoptère
Drizzling. Meh. Hope it clears up as I was planning a half decent pedal.
Mrs P lost her phone (didn't hear her alarm) and thought it was Friday and all hell broke loose... Silly panic over nothing.
I need coffee.

Morning all. Local parkrun shortly including the jog there. Then see neighbours over something and sort mutt out. Taxi duties later and maybe a night out with the OH. Currently dry here for a change, hopefully stays like that. Enjoy

Damp and gloomy this morning, slow cook lamb to start for neighbours coming round for dinner, OH will insist on tidying the house as well.

Headed up to my old stamping ground Beckenham for a spot of Full English with a couple of mates. Later is undecided but a pulled muscle might put paid to pedalling plans.

Beautiful sunny day here for a change. Gutted I still have my Leper status as covid is hanging on. Sucks. Lad back from Uni for today but I won't really see him much..party tonight cancelled.
Plus side I feel loads better. Vision is still like a ripply pond. Maybe it's LSD?
Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

Did you knowingly take LSD?

Looking for assistance from the masses please. Since I crashed my front brake has gone to pot so I’ve been bleeding it this morning and it’s fine however on bleeding the back brake something isn’t right and it looks like there should be a small screw to shut off the bleed port. There isn’t and only the front gas the rubber bung.
they’re a few years old so I’m just thinking of replacing both calipers.
current ones are Ultrgra RS685 and are post mount.
is there a reasonably priced replacement with an accessible bleed port you can nip up with a spanner such as the ones shown on GCNs you tube clip? It looked much easier than servicing mine
Im off out now as I’m getting fed up of dropping fluid everywhere, any help would be appreciated.
thanks in advance

Afternoon folks,
Slow start was had, feeling like death warmed up so it wasn't particularly enjoyable. Unlike PN69 I'm not plague ridden, this was entirely self inflicted. But good fun was had last night.
Currently sat in the Marks cafe whilst the EPO is looking at clothes, I think she'd had enough of being followed around by an extra from the living dead.
I've got the same brakes HD so I can take a look when I get home see if there's anything obvious. Most road calipers are flat mount now which is a pain if your frame is post mount. You might be able to get a post mount XT caliper which should fit.

Evening
I too felt like death warmed up due to music night at the village hall. Any chance of slow start was scuppered by Mrs W who kicked me out of bed to go for a walk at 7:30. After picking up my winter bike from the shop I felt sufficiently recovered to go for a bike ride, felt quite lively. So did a brisk for me 71 miles.

XT or SLX should fit as should Deore. Depends on how you the hydraulic pipe attachs. Had similar issue with getting caliper for my post mount TCX.
