Sun, sun ,sun here but also wind, wind, wind. Probably climb later or something. I can’t even buy anything as Mrs W has taken my bank so as to get money out for work. Apparently as there are no Nat west banks in our area and they need money for petty cash, she has resorted to transferring money to our account then getting out via the cash machine at the petrol station

Overslept the alarm as a bit knackered after yesterday's early start and pedalling, although the apple based isotonic recovery drinks helped me sleep well 🙂 WFH as got pension advisor coming round for the annual review. Looks like he's earned his slice so won't give him a hard time.

A mate of mine fell down the Rabbit Hole and became a bit of a conspiracy theorist (Anti vaxxer type). The interesting thing is (having done a bit of reading up on the subject) that a lot of them share very similar backgrounds/personality traits. They generally tend to be highly suggestible (which is ironic as they tend to tell everyone else they are sheep who just follow the herd!) and often have come into conflict with big institutions; financial trouble with banks, legal problems/divorces etc. and are subconsciously looking to empower themselves as they feel emasculated due to loss of status/money/jobs etc.
Fortunately my mate seems to have sorted himself out now and is far less of a space cadet!

Afternoon folks,
Another day of orifice based fun and games, pleasant wobble in the sunshine to get here at least. Unfortunately Hanworth doesn't look good even when it's sunny, it looks best in thick fog.
I had my 9th covid jab last Friday, glad I didn't catch it before then. As suspected its become a bit like the flu in terms of regular jabs, although its 2 a year rather than just the one. Our ops director is a bit of an anti vaxxer type, not full loony but says things like "why do you bother, covid isn't a thing any more" presumably he has no idea that he's just underlining how stupid I think he is.

I was offered a job yesterday, which is nice, don't think I'll take them up on it, but it's good to have that sort of thing in your back pocket at times like this. We've got various big cheeses from the new owners in this week and next, hopefully things will start to move forward a little more after that.
Out for beer and curry with the MD and FD tonight so I might get to hear a little more about what's going on, might let slip about the job offer.

Day 1 of 3 volunteering this week. The Gardens open day coming up on Monday so we are making it even prettier. And the rain seems to have effed off for a bit so 👍 Hard enough work to make me feel a bit crackered so a hot soak, couple of coldies and early night seem to be in order.
