Slept pretty well after yesterday's little jaunt, spoiled only by the early alarm and having to scrape ice off the windscreen. Into the office on the train for more fun with the Kingdom of Far Far Away and a meeting with the boss. Could do with a coffee first though.

Morning les concentré de moule à gaufres

Grey and a tad chilly. Meh. Deep into April and we've had a handful of good days this year.

    Another anti-climatical monument yesterday.

Chores to do and a run around.

    First: coffee.

    Morning

Wet just for a change, these barmy spring days are wearing a bit thin. Waiting for shopping delivery then it will be a bit of cleaning before attempting to climb.

Summer is over, spent the afternoon pulling weeds and then managed to sit in a mates garden for an hour yesterday whilst it lasted.

Mich wine was consumed and we organised (of sorts) a fishing trip.

  • Dry, cool, slow start, rehydrate after yesterday's do ready for drinking and eating out again later.

    Afternoon folks,

Another day of fun and frolicks in the orifice, managed a rather chilly wobble in this morning, 6'C when I set off. At least i didn't have to scrape anything.

Had some cake as it's my not so beautiful assistant's birthday, I'm not sure that's fair, this one sometimes works as a model and the previous one didn't. But I still think she was prettier than him 😁

Sister arrives from Italy this evening, hoping to be able to grab a pint and have a bit of a chat before dropping her round to the old dear's.

Suspect this will be a busy week all round, both at work and at home.

And home. Easy peasy transit back to The Homeland. Was annoyingly drizzly until got up to the A66, and car temp gauge pinged the 4C outside temp warning at one point, somewhere near Grantham. Cold there? In Thatcherland? Surely the fires of hell should be in fine form.

Good break. Even if weather was largely pants. 'Several' beers sipped, and lots of moules, scallops, shrimps and fishies various consumed, nom nom.

Forecast is looking good. Can't you run/cycle there and back?

The cycling options aren’t too good, but I will investigate properly one summers weekend
