Afternoon folks,
Another day of office based fun and games. Slightly moist for the wobble in, but rather warmer than it has been. Email has gone round telling us there's going to be an announcement at 4pm we have to attend personally or online, this has gone to the whole company here and in the US. So now there are 3 distinct groups of people, those that are supposed to know and aren't saying anything, those that aren't supposed to know and are pretending the know nothing and those that genuinely know nothing. Given that only 3 people have asked me what's going on I think the second group may be the largest.
Not much else going on. I should probably rebuild my motorbike at some point, no rush.

Today's tree planting sesh was really hard work. Or not. We, the volunteers, were acting in support of Jo and Joe P, assisting them in planting for the first time mostly as part of 'Remembering Together, which is an artists' project marking Covid times losses. Part of it is mixed species plantings in 5 different parts of D&G, even across in PinnoLand. Intent is to create this area of Contemplation, with the trees, the views, we'll install some benches and create a pond area nearby in low lying marshy land. Will be a nice place, in 25 years time...
That's me crackered now after such a long and hard day. Barman!

Sunshine (ish) cycled on NCN1 from Montrose to Dunnottar Castle and back with OH, didn't realise how strong the wind was until we had to cycle back, bit of a slog! Nice views and a decent cafe for lunch though!

21 miles plus ridden with Cameron grandson, who hadn’t ridden further 300 metres to park for 9 months till 2 weeks ago. Main thing he’s back to being interested to all things about cycling. Another thing when I tried to describe the cafes on offer for the lunch stop, I described one as being as being posh and the other being as being a bit basic. He said he couldn’t understand what I meant. However when we stopped at the basic one, he said “ I know what you meant grandpa now”😂
Ride was finished by a 9 year old out sprinting me up the street🙂🙂🙂 How’s that for passing it on to next generation.
