Good news - junior got excused from jury service totally as she doesn't get enough time off in the next year to do it. Glad they saw sense. In other news, Mrs. 666 and junior are hogging the sauna so I'll go in another night.

I was invited for jury service once, 42 years ago, and ducked out as I was booked in for a holiday in Salcombe. Haven't been asked since.

I did mine back in 2017 IIRC. Only heard one case in the week and spent the rest of the time hanging around in the waiting area doing emails.

I did mine a few years ago, a murder trial which lasted 8 of the ten working days. We were all (the jury) excused from comitting to the rest of our duty period by the judge as it was only a couple of days.
And I got to stand up and deliver the "guilty" verdict.
