Nope. Not going to bed now. A film thread.
Flicking round the channels on a school night, there are certain films, when you discover they're on mean you simply have to stay up to watch them. The time & any plans for the next day are irrelevant. Doesn't matter how many times you've watched them, or even how recently the last watch was, we're here for the duration.
These films include:
The Lost Boys
Rocky
Shawshank Redemption
Moneyball

In addition to most of the above, Jaws.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -

Love a Lost boys re-watch. The Frog brothers rocking up on their BMX’s to kill vampires, epic.
Love the soundtrack too https://youtu.be/PdaaGlyu7EQ?si=EQiMDrdaiwe1Q-Rw
Rocky is another. I’m a sucker for a good soundtrack and training montage.

I'm a closet Trekkie. If any of the first four movies come on TV I'm transported straight to that age where movies seemed to last half a day and you had to queue up the road to get in.
Other than that, any of the Man with No Name spaghetti westerns, Apocalypse Now (but only if I catch it near the start or it is disrespectful), Dirty Harry, the first Indiana Jones, another vote for Blade Runner. There are a few others that simply don't come on TV, like Brazil or American Graffiti.

Forbidden Planet, actually well worth a watch. But don't call me Shirley.
I actually watched several of the Quatermass films again recently. Magnificently post war low budget British, with filming locations almost entirely in small villages or on MOD land.

Point Break
Absolute classic of the type
The Channel 5 scheduler who puts that on starting at 11.35pm on a Tuesday night knows exactly what they're doing.
