Stage 3 was supposed to be 161km. There was no TT on the original route.
Stage 4 has had 60+km taken off as well. Sunday's final stage seems as planned (for now).

Think so, they had a photo taken with one of the riders a couple of days later. They didn’t have a clue who he was though (I think it was Hermans).

The final stage of Algarve was good value today. Big breakaway, Van Aert attack from distance, small GC group puncheur finish. Remco stuck in the big ring for a fairly brutal last 20km

It was his first race back after 8 months without racing and after recovering from a major injury. I think it's a bit soon to be writing off his season.
To be honest, I think he performed way above expectations.
