I'm the only one up as Mrs. 666 is still under the duvet and the hounds haven't stirred yet, they probably realise how chilly it is. Another day of wfh but may nip out for a ride to warm up for tomorrow's commute, just to annoy Seano.

Bright and blue now the suns up, though its still -2°C

As the ground was (mostly) frozen I decided to take the trial bike for a run yesterday. It’s been a while since I used it, had some fun keeping my balance when getting stuck in the frozen grooves. All this extra work plus extra kit meant no wind-chill, quite the opposite in fact. Well roasted by the time I got to the ~~coffee~~ beer stop. Had to cross a few roads on my route but other than that, no roads, nice!

More tea and possibly a pig based sarnie…

We'd almost come into summer by the time I managed to defrost both cars this morning.

Wet snow yesterday followed by an icy blast overnight meant a 10cm layer of frozen slush to contend with and I knackered my wiper blades in the process.

Supposed to be swimming later.

Afternoon folks,

Not as chilly as yesterday for the wobble in, still a bit icy though. I was a touch too warm by the time I got here, didn't need my glove liners after all. Pedalling that bike definitely helps get me up to temperature. Not warm enough to be riding like the idiot I saw without gloves though.

Good time was had in the pub last night. Not been to that one before, really characterful boozer. They were having a vinyl night, there was an old turntable and customers were allowed to play their own singles. Good beer too and only £4 for a pint of bitter. I think we'll be going back there. The old advert with the line "There's always time to squeeze in a Bishop's Finger" next to a picture of a buxom young lady made me chuckle. Then at the bottom in small print it says "At 5.4% it's near the knuckle"

Out again tonight as it's Wednesday, the lad may be joining us.

Afternoon

Slight improvement on the snottiness. Such a glorious winters day went for another walk despite tired legs, nearly went arse over tits on some black ice. Then saw some mad fool on a bike on the same bit of road. I think later is a visit from Steve the builder to price up doing up the bathroom.

Still running around after Mrs B³ and her busted foot. She's a bit more mobile, so I should be able to be back in the office tomorrow. Cold seems to break into 11 degrees, grey and wet at the weekend.
