re 6, don't know full team name, just that Oscar Sevilla was, as one of their then-prominent riders, more well-known than Valverde in those days.
re 24, don't understand why my answer isn't acceptable, Bassons was called M. Propre (propre = french word for clean) in the french media (and I believe by some of the peloton, by Virenque perhaps).
Although on the other hand, I feel I have heard Bjorne Riis sometimes referred to as Mr. Clean.
re 26, surely Bartoli won most of the classics and semi-classics, these two included?
