SRAM XX1 11speed Upgrade

Hi,
I have a 2015 Scott Scale 700 SL, i haven't updated the chainring or the cassette since new (2016).
Has anybody any views on best options to either replace or upgrade?
I do mostly cross country, so range hasn't been a big problem, so the need to go to 12 speed is not imperative. Although i do sometimes tend to run out of high gear range.
I don't even know if it can be upgraded to the Eagle 12 speed easily, the wheelsets are Syncros Carbon XR1.0, I understand that it needs to be have a certain hub to make the move 12 straight forward. I dont know if these are compatible?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I believe that Shimano make an 11-speed range that does not require you to change the freehub, because the smallest gear is a normal sized one.0
