Looking at possibly getting a canyon. . . .

However, their geometry charts seem to have spawned a new metric, stack+ and reach+.

Can anyone shed any light on what they actually are?

  • The description they gave when they released the grail made it sound like they were just calling the Bar XY by another name. But looking at an Endurace geo chart that doesn't work either (or they've done the calculations wrong, which is fairly likely). I suspect that the Stack+ is the maximum bar Y or the stack to an imaginary point on the lever hoods
  • Stack and reach is normally measured to the top of the headtube.

Stack + and Reach + could be measured based on an imaginary 30mm of spacers, and the stem that is listed in the spec for the bike to the edge of the bars or something...

Whats needed here is someone to ask Canyon

    And trust it!

On my 4th Canyon and I LOVE them. I'm usually a medium, Canyon said Small..I trusted it and I am glad I did. Fits like a glove.
