Chain touches front derailleur when setting in lower gears.

Chain keeps touching front derailleur when switching to lower gears... its fine when setting in high gears.
Need help to fix it. I am new to road bikes. Never had issues on mountain bikes.

    It's normal, depending on what shifters you have they normally have a trim action on the front deraileur. It works like a half shift to clear the deraileur from the chain when in lower gears. When you go out again try riding with chain catching and do a half shift and hopefully it will clear the chain. It's a common thing that catches a lot of people out.
