    Is the road paved? That would be the same elevation of the highest roads in Britain... Bealach Na Ba etc...

    Yes it is paved & nice smooth tarmac. There is a gate though and serveral cattle grids.

    Actually just realized the strava segment is wrong it goes up to the lake, not surge pool, same total elevation though:

    Was looking at Dan Evans's VAM... it's funny how it drops from 2000+ mt/h for classic short hill climbs to numbers more in line with the Gruppetto for long climbs... :-)
