Sportive cyclopark Kent....What are the routes like?

Morning all

Im looking at signing up for my first sportive and have seen that theres one running from Cyclopark in Kent in October....im looking at the route and its hilly but not familiar with the roads around the area...anyone else looking at doing this or anyone know the roads? Thanks

    Not sure which route you are contemplating but the long route takes in some of the steepest hills in the north downs. Whichever one you choose will be a stiff test for your first sportive.
    The roads are all fairly quiet and the scenery will be great

    Thankyou for the info...its definitely a toughie....are sportive generally like this?? :shock:

    Not all sportive are toughies. You can generally get an idea from the name, kentish killer, hell of hexham etc. otherwise just take a look at the details of the ride and maybe a profile which will give you the distance and the amount of climbing involved.

    If you are around the kent area, I would highly recommend the great kent ride which starts and finishes in Ashford for your first taste of sportive riding.
