If you have any problems in Antibes (beautiful place, by the way), Nice will have a few places. There is one just off the Promenade Des Anglais http://www.rent-bike.fr/index.php4?fra= ... &res=Velos who are a bit rough-and-ready, but you'll get a decent road bike (either BMC or Scott) at a good price.

If you fancy something a bit different, visit Café Du Cycliste in Nice Harbour. As well as having some lovely clothing, they hire a few different bikes, and they can recommend routes as well http://www.cafeducycliste.com/our-bikes

PS - beware the Velobleu bikes! Last time we were there, 2 out of 3 I took out didn't work properly!

Can totally recommend cycles antI polis in antibes, really good little
shop, great service and good bike . The col de venc e was lovely too. Sadly my little son knocked the bike over in the flat and the bike suffered 3 small paint chips, the shop owner was great about it and said there was no problem at all which was great of him . Nice people to deal with.
