Bottomless tokens in Recon Gold?

Bought the set of 5 bottomless tokens from Amazon which included the top cap which is ostensibly to allow older Rebas etc to take tokens. As it turns out, the Rebas we had already had the threaded top cap.
I took the air cap off the newly acquired Recon Gold TK 29 forks and the top cap looks identical, save for the threads inside.
As I've now got 2 spare tokens and a spare threaded top cap, am I being stupid by asking whether I can use the tokens in the Recon GOld too? Sram's site doesn't seem to deal with this possibility.

If the top cap fits OK, you can use them.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
