Replacement for my Boardman Mountain Bike Comp HT 650B

My Boardman Mountain Bike Comp HT 650B needs a fair few things done to it, looking at £200 or so to get it back up and running fully.
So instead of that i was just going to use this for going back and forth to work and get a new bike.
However i really like the fit of the bike but the 2014 one is no longer for sale so any suggestions on a new bike would i be just as well going for the same again but a 2016 model?
Or any other suggestions Under £800

Need BB/Rear Hub/Rear Caliper/Pads and it is getting a bit tatty however plan to give this to my wife/son to use if they ever do.0
