Hi folks.

was about to adjust my saddle for a slightly different position when I noticed that my front saddle mounting bolt had rounded off last time I adjusted it. these bolts are 4mm standard so do I just replace like for like or would pretty much any bolt do the trick? I'll have to get my LBS to remove it as its not budging, and I don't have a way of removing it....

the bike is a BMC teammachine Slr01 2014 edition.

thanks.

If they are removing it I'd just get them to fit another at the same time.
FFS! Harden up and grow a pair :D

Try a similarly-sized imperial hex key, or a torx bit first - that might be enough to get some bite on it.

Can you get mole grips on it?
Or hammer in a torx bit and use ratchet to undo it.
My winter bike is exactly the same as my summer bike,,, but dirty...

Hi, I have the exact same issue. My thought was mole grips which I plan to try this weekend. Let me know if any of the above suggestions worked and I will try the same thing!
