    Boonen got a load of beer thrown over him that day for chasing Museeuw. The fans didn't know who he was and assumed he was American.

    Kamikaze breakaways making it to the finish and not being caught by the lead-out trains in a perfectly timed chase!

    GC contenders/leaders jumping off the front and dropping everyone to solo to stage victory.

    Riders who could win everything, cobbles - no problem, mountains - piece of pish, sprints - easy!
    Obsessed is a word used by the lazy to describe the dedicated!

    The standard of uniform and hair have deteriorated significantly. Probably due to the ecstasy tablets being replaced by cocaine and ketamine as drug of choice among students/young creatives.

    Unless you're a member of The Bullingdon Club, then I suspect Es are still somewhat more affordable than coke to students.

    Nice uniform tho'.

    I don't know, in my experience it's quite common in lots of groups these days.

    I was at a cr@p Wetherspoons in a not-particularly-well-off area of Liverpool a few weeks ago (don't ask) and there were just a couple of normal looking guys doing it (if Scousers can ever count as normal ;) ). I hear Liverpool has quite prevalent coke use generally. Aspirational thing.

    Point above that it was probably mostly flour is likely correct though :)

    It seems to have come into fashion as a way of getting a marginal gain over a GC rider who is not going to risk his jersey hopes on the way down.

    And I can't get cycling on my TV so have no idea what you are on about when it comes to commentators!
