This is the third year of this event, as organised by Team Cystic Fibrosis and we are proud to see it growing in numbers every year.

13th September 2015 - Starts from Magna Science Centre and takes in a 65 mile loop including, you've guessed it... Holme Moss.

We take in a 5 mile closed road start through Rotherham courtesy of South Yorkshire Police and then head out into the hills. This gives us the opportunity to do a massed start, which is always amazing.

There will be two food stops, at 22 and 45 miles and we will continue with the tradition of the female-use only pink portaloos. (We have blue ones as well)

We continue to have PlanetX as one of our major sponsors. As well as providing us with great support on the day, they also provide some of the best goodie bags at any sportive. (Last year, we gave out Flandrian socks, and rear lights. We have also done Beanie hats and cycling caps in the past). I've no idea what we will be doing this year but its normally very popular.

and last but most especially the route... We offer two routes long and short. Both take you through the rolling hills of South Yorkshire and both courses offer a tough challenge. Its not easy, but you wouldnt expect it to be.

All proceeds - every single penny goes to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. We are all volunteers but we aim to put on a professional standard.

The cost is £25 per rider and you can find more details at http://www.65Roses-Holmemossclassic.co.uk or more interactively at http://www.facebook.com/65RosesHolmeMossClassic

PS at the event, we will be drawing the winner for the raffle for the signed frame created for the sister event 65 Roses Spring Classic. This has signatures from likes of Sir Bradley Wiggins, Mark Cavendish, Sir Chris Hoy, Dame Sarah Storey, Stephen Roche, Fabian Cancellara, Marianne Vos etc etc.

More details on this will be found on the Facebook page.
