cassette rub issue

Hi just looking for a bit of info just bought a brand new 10 speed shimano slx cassette to replace a deore one that had seen better days. One issue is that the chain is catching on the next biggest cog no matter what adjustments I make.
Is that because my chain has gone or is something else wrong. Checked that everything is on correctly but no explanation for why. Shine some light please.

When you say you've checked everything, have you adjusted cable tension, B tension screw and High/Low adjusters? Also, did you replace like for like ratios going Deore to SLX?Current:

On all cogs or just one?

Adjusted cable tension the lot and like for like 11;36 and chain wasn't removed just cleaned. Its happening in every gear I mean 11t catching the 13 the 13 is catching the 15 etc its not an indexing issue I've tried adjusting the arse of it and had no joy.SHUT UP AND RIDE!!!

Chain's gone then. What's the symptom? Is it skipping?
It can't really catch the next largest sprocket unless the adjustment is all to cock, however, as you've now got a worn chain on a new cassette it will make all sorts of unpleasant noises and trash it in no time. Replace chain.0 -
Could also be FUBAR jockey wheels, my commuter did that when the bearings went as it allowed the upper wheel to tilt and the chain to snag the side of the larger sprocket occasionally.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Top's supposed to have side to side play laterally.0 -
