Should I put a chain guide on my bike?

I have a Giant Trance 27.5 3, and the chain falls off the front sprocket. This happened twice, both when I was going downhill. I am kind of considering putting a chain guide on my bike so it won't fall off. Is it worth it? And how much will it cost?

Thanks in advance! :)

Which ring? You shouldn't need one with a front mech.

    The biggest one. I have a 2x10 set-up.

Sounds like you need to adjust the front mech, correctly adjusted the chain can't fall off....the front mech is a chain guide, just a moveable one!

It will fall off with a front mech over really rough ground.
The Blackspire Stinger is cheap and does a good job. Personally I prefer a narrow/wide single ring and cassette with expander ring.
