    What programme are those guys on? Taking the top 4 places by 1 min 40 sec - it would make the 1999 Mapei team blush :shock: Whilst only joking can you imagine the uproar that sort of performance would cause if a pro team did that?

    that does raise a few questions, was it just a regional race? not on elie nat calendar i have but there are two others today so maybe 2nd rate competition?

    What's with their glasses/goggles? And those kits are just awful. Why does the camouflage have to all bunched around the crotch. It makes them look like this:

    No idea about the race - this is the accompanying text:

    La Tramontane. Les militaires l'emportent avec Alexandre Delétang, et placent six des leurs aux six premières places. Une véritable démonstration du collectif francilien.

    Une fois de plus, sous le soleil et sans vent du nord, la course se décante dès le départ. À l'amorce des pentes du coll de les Portes au kilomètre 4, l'Armée de Terre sonne la charge. Le peloton se morcelle, tirebouchonne dans les lacets et la première échappée prend son envol. Ce sera la bonne ! Au passage à Banyuls-sur-Mer, quatorze hommes ouvrent la route, le peloton pointe à 12". Les difficultés situées à la sortie de la cité balnéaire poursuivent le travail de sape de ce début de course. Bien vite le peloton passe à 42". Ça visse dur, les écarts commencent à s'amplifier, alors que quatre éléments, qui ont manqué le bon coup, tentent un retour aux avant-postes. En vain !

    La course va trouver son rythme de croisière au moment où l'on abandonne le bord de mer, pour tirer droit vers le Canigou encapuchonné. L'Armée de Terre fait le travail, et pour cause, on compte six des leurs à l'avant. Il y a là Teychenne (vainqueur en 2013), Combaud, Delétang, Piry, Sarreau et Le Roux qu'accompagnent Ledanois et Lecrocq (CC Nogent-sur-Oise), Ferrand-Prévot (CC Villeneuve Saint-Germain SA), Bacon et Pijourlet (Team Vulco-VC Vaulx-en-Velin), Poitevin (Sojasun Espoir-ACNC), Liponne (Bourg-en-Bresse AC) et Koretzky (VS Narbonne).

    Les contreforts du col de Llauro n'apporteront pas de solution. C'est dans la plaine vallespirienne que tout va se décanter. Et un militaire en embuscade, puis deux, puis trois… En un rien de temps le trio va ouvrir la route, pour ne plus quitter le commandement jusqu'à l'arrivée à Collioure. Derrière Liponne se met à la planche, sans succès. Koretzky, Ledanois, Lecrocq à tour de rôle, vont l'imiter. Les trois autres éléments de l'Armée de Terre contrôlent. Si Delétang l'emporte, Sarreau et Teychenne auraient pu en faire de même. Les militaires ont livré bataille. À l'arrivée sur le podium, Michel Moly les félicite avec grand plaisir, d'autant plus que ces derniers font à présent partie de la cité. En stage chez les commandos, depuis quatre ans exactement, tout le monde les connaît. - avec Claude Soubielle.

    They were the top ranked DN1 team last year, ahead of others like Europcar's and AG2R's feeder squads (Vendée U and Chambery Cyclisme Formation) so they are pretty good. Some of the DN1 teams are pretty much Continental level.

    1,2 in DN1 coupe de France, would be good if they came over for Rutland or Beaumont trophy to see how our conti teams would stack up against them

    Quite a few DN1 riders go straight to WT level with French teams, so they must be pretty good?

    Yeah Adam Yates was with CC Etupes last year and he exactly pissing over everyone in these races, I think it was his ride at L'Avenir that got him the contract
