No I've not got the wrong section instead of the bottom bracket.
The straps of my helmet are due a clean as are the foam pads. My question is more about the helmet straps then the inside padding.
So domestic god (esse) s of bike radar , how do you clean yours ?

Take 'em out and give 'em a good scrub. Bit of a faff but best to be thorough if you're going to do it IMO.- - - - - - - - - -

Wife does mine. I get her to do it at least once a week, usually after sweaty rides.
I have never questioned her technique though.0 -
Got to say im disappointed people I was expecting a lot more innuendo.
But thanks for the suggestions might give it a scrub with some shower gel.Insert witty signature here0 -

Never ride my bike with my helmet showing so it's always clean!!0

Remove pads and clean with mild bleach-free clothes washing liquid solution in the sink occasionally. Don't be too rough as they are quite delicate and can come apart at the seams.. Just float them in the water and squeeze very gently, rinse etc, dry in sunlight on the windowsill. Straps I just rinse under water now and again to get rid of any encrusted salt..0

I give it a good hard polish in the shower once a day. 8)0
