ultegra 6700 brake calipers with dura ace 7800 STI levers?

would this combination work?

the sales bumf for the ultegra calipers states they wont work with the 7800 STI shifters due to a difference in pull ratio.

i've talked to a couple of people in LBS and they think the combination would work

anyone tried the same combo? and with what success?

    Shimano say it will not but in reality what it means is that it will not perform to the optimum of what Shimano intend.

    It will work though, just not as 'crisp' as Shimano would say it should be.

    Yeah, it'll work but not as intended and it will feel a bit "wooden" but no great shakes.
