Is there a site or comprehensive list containing Sportives and Audaxes,
A couple of us are after doing some this year and basically without random googling and seeing a link here and there were pretty much stuck.
Were NorthWest based if thats any help.

Audaxes will be listed on the Audax UK website. I know that British Cycling publish a list of sportives, but I don't know if it's comprehensive.

    Hi Graham

Try cyclosport or the british cycling website they are a good overview. If you are looking at NW based sportives - KilotoGo run some big events the Cheshire Cat and Lancs Hot Pot, Polocini runs some well received events and his food is cracking.

Basically if you are new then try not to bite off more than you can chew - yes 100 miles with some mega climbs sounds like a great target but overstretching yourself will make it a miserable experience or even a failure most sportives have a range of routes so start sensible and move up throughout the year.
