Looking at my options for indoor training, given relatively little daylight/weekend time owing to work/family commitments/.

Interested in the Cycle Ops Indoor bike family. Any users on the forum? Looking for some feedback/views on the 200 versus 300 versus 400, and also interested in whether there are any reliable sources for training plans for these?

All thoughts welcome

Wouldn't a winter bike on the turbo be better?

Or even just a second rear wheel and a decent turbo?

It seems Strava appears to have been put into hibernation for the winter, and replaced by Trainer Road (http://www.trainerroad.com/).

If you have the cash for a Indoor bike, that would fund a very nice turbo, with cash left over.

  • The bike is intended for use by my wife as well as myself. Hence a road-bike is not an option.

  • I am in the same situation but i have been looking at the reebok S1 spinbike. My wife and her son will be using it too. This is quite a bit cheaper and not as scary for her but may seem a bit underwhelming for your needs.

I have a Cycleops mag basic turbo for in the garage and i have a Reebok z9 exercise bike for when i am on the ship. I'm going for the "one of everything as long as its not too expensive" approach. lol.
