16 seems a little small unless your planning on dirtjumping or throwing it around
Really? Then I bet it's way too big for her, I used to use a 19" bike for commuting and it was slightly too big and I'm 5ft 10, I normally ride a 17/17.5 inch frame.0 -

Yes, but not by much 2nd-hand, and very yes. There might be an issue with that Cube being on a cycle-scheme too. Unless they've bought it out, it technically doesn't belong to them. That's not to say anyone will care though.I don't do smileys.

If she had long legs, then the top tube would be far to long for her torso....my daughter is 5'6" and had a 19" (built for road use) when she took it to Cannock it was far to big for her, but as she did really well it's been reframed in a 14" now.
I'm 5'10" and ride a 16".Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
Well I've still got my eye on that hardrock above but the guys not responding to my email, my guess is he wants to let it run which means it will probably go over my £400 budget. Also, I'm after a 16in and hes stated Medium so might be a bit big...
Meanwhile, Iv'e spotted this which I could perhaps knock him down a bit?

Medium is most likely 18". But that bike has nothing on the hardrock, the spec is far better compared to the trek, and the frame isn't damaged.0

Should I be worried about a dent?
I enquired about the trek last week and he wanted £600. Looking at his other listings hes stripped off all the decent stuff, brakes, XTmech, headset, stem, bars etc and now wants £400. Seems to have changed the fork from a Dart 3 to a RS Recon though which I thought was a better fork...
18" will be too big for me if thats the case, it looks smaller than that in the pics but I guess it can be decieving.
There's also this Scott which he will deliver:

Yep if you don't know how it happened, and you can't inspect the frame for damage before you get it. You're better getting a bike that fits, I was basing my opinion on spec. The trek is better than the scott though, the scott seems to have very basic entry level components.0

Thanks for your help buddy, just want to make sure I'm getting the most for my money.0

Another day and more bikes...
Specialized Hardrock 2011 Model - Says he'll take £350
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320971821694? ... 1438.l2649
Boardman Team FS 2009 model - Made him an offer of £400 and I will have to pay courier on top(£30).

The specialized spec ain't great, and it's hard to tell whats on the boardman - drivetrain and suspension.0

Compared the Boardman to a picture of the standard spec on and its all quality stuff, Rock Shox Reba, Sram X9 and Sram X0...0

That's a good deal in that case - and it looks to be in great condition. As long as you want a full suss now over a hard hardtail!0

If you haven't already, or unless you've bought something in the meantime, I'd take another look at the Hardrock on Ebay. Only 7hrs left and it still looks a bargain.0
