Newbie question - Rockshox Reba RL

I've just purchased a OE 2012 100mm Rockshox Reba RL fork and I have a quick question regarding the bottom of the fork legs. I'll apologise if this is a really straightforward question to answer, but I've never bought an air fork before so I've not got anything to compare it with.
I've had a look at the Rockshox Spares catalogue as well as the Reba techical manual, but I've not been able to find an answer to my question. Is there supposed to be a cap that covers up the bottoms of the fork legs or are they left open so that you can access the negative air chamber and the compression adjuster?

You will need to provide a photo. There should be an adjuster in one leg bottom, and a small cap covering the valve on the other.0
