Hi

I have just bought a Rockrider 8.1 as I wanted some fun away from my road bike. I took it to Woburn trails, not knowing anything. Well after an hour, I was giggling like a toddler. I thought buying a relatively cheap bike would hamper me somewhat but I am over the moon with it. I didn't do the jumps or any steep downhill bits but the bits I did do were fast enough for starters.

I must have been getting cocky as the simple equation caused me to call it a day

Me(new bike+speed)+large tree = cracked sternum + half trail embedded in face

I am hooked. Once the course of tramadol finishes, I am getting my permit and heading back to the trails.

Welcome, yes the muddy side is very addictive but you have to watch out for those trees. They've a nasty habit of jumping out in front of you  ,usually when you are pushing on a bit which hurts more  . But as they say chicks dig scars
