What would be the correct crank bolt torque for Shimano Dura Ace FC-7410 crank?

I have a split crank bolt that I would like to replace, and I got an original replacement bolt.
Assuming the bolt has split due to improper torque, I'd like to do it right this time.

Suggests somewhere between 305-391 in-lb or 34.465-44.183 Nm

    Hope that helps.

thanks - any idea whether square taper generally needs more or less torque than octalink?
(so I know which end of the scale I should shoot for)
  • No idea whatsoever unfortunately. I would go for about 40Nm personally. ( I am a lightweight however & very unlikely to worry Sir Chris Hoy in a max power output test ) :-)

See what it says on the link above.

Well that is what I did, am I missing something?
I know you have a pretty good idea of what the torque should be, so any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
