DA FC-7410 crank bolt torque
What would be the correct crank bolt torque for Shimano Dura Ace FC-7410 crank?
I have a split crank bolt that I would like to replace, and I got an original replacement bolt.
Assuming the bolt has split due to improper torque, I'd like to do it right this time.

Park tools website http://www.parktool.com/blog/repair-hel ... d-concepts
Suggests somewhere between 305-391 in-lb or 34.465-44.183 Nm
Hope that helps.0 -
thanks - any idea whether square taper generally needs more or less torque than octalink?
(so I know which end of the scale I should shoot for)0 -
No idea whatsoever unfortunately. I would go for about 40Nm personally. ( I am a lightweight however & very unlikely to worry Sir Chris Hoy in a max power output test ) :-)0

I know you have a pretty good idea of what the torque should be, so any pointers would be greatly appreciated.0
