Projectsome - that was a suprise, a nice suprise though :)

Today is meh @ work followed by wedding reception later. Meant to be staying over but now driving, the bright side is I am borrowing a 911 to go in, so it should be fun.

  • Last nights sleep was not adequate, and woke up this morning to find that much money has been taken out of our account for bills which came un-expectadely early this month. Time to struggle the next week or so. Not good.

Driving course later today in Vienna, so will be up rather late tonight.

    M'eh.

Overseas delegation all day. No bacons. Have to present for 3hrs so avoiding coffee, too.

    F***sticks.

    That is all.

Meeting up at Fairholmes for a Peak District ride at 10.30, looks like a blustery day.

Packing for Scotland West Coast South of Ullapool. Last year was superb so booked the same place again straight out on to a sandy beach from the front door.

Might be out of touch for a week or so.

    Morning

Lectures today, just 3, then it's over for the week, up an hour early too so should probably get on with some work. Got a research report to write... I should probably decide what to research at some point.

Later I will either go to visit the baby cousin, or do some internet bike stuff shopping, or go out into town although I'm feeling fairly crap at the moment so probably won't choose the last option.

    Morning,

Got some DIY going on today putting shelves up and a few other jobs. Tonight I'm off to a mate's birthday bash so looking forward to that, but maybe not the hangover on Saturday morning! Apart from that, might look at more 'ski p0rn' websites :)

Thank F it's Friday, and again the AOC isn't here, so I can goof off a bit.
I was going to bake a cake last night, but was too tired so bought muffins in for everyone coz I'm nice like that.
    It's also pay day, woot!
Probably gonna go out for a quick drink after work. The last 2 times I've gone out with this particular person for a quick drink we've ended up finishing the night at 3am. Would rather not do that again coz I want to be at Pines by 10 tomorrow!

    have a good day y'all

Well I was kinda hoping it would involve the two fit birds who work at the perfume counter of our local Boots store, but whatever floats your boat

    Hey...

Did a bit of fettling last night and thus stayed off the beer, oddly feeling a little hungover this morning, am I taking the hit for someone else?

If you were on the pop last night and have woken up 'fresh as a daisy' this morning, I hope that you remember my selfless act in taking your hangover and reciprocate when my turn comes....

    Thanks in advance

  • Hey! Hey! It's Friday! Morning Maggots!!

So, being a home based worker is always a win by default, but the win is just that little bit more special on a Friday

Buying me a "bikes only" car today, a little V reg Opel / Vauxhall Astra SXi 1.8 station estate. The neighbour is selling it, so I don't even have to collect it :¬P
This is solely for hauling the bikes around. It's in good nick, has alloys, a radio CD fitted and for £250 with 6 months MOT & Tax, how can I refuse?
Off to Halfords to buy some Thule foot pack fittings so I can now use my 591 bike carriers on the car.

Other than that, just another grey and overcast day in the Worst Midlands, listening to the radio via the interwebs while digging through my workload

    Evening all,

If its a bike only car raymondo, maybe invest in a boot and seats covers just so it may keep some resale value from not being to scuffed? tempted to get a boot cover for my car with the bikes at the moment :S
  • As a company vehicle driver, I shan't be paying too much attention to caressing the luggabout car. It has two purposes only: Drive me to Cannock or any other place where I'll be riding and of course, moving dead [female] bodies with their heads facing backwards to a distant ditch.

On a more serious note, I threw some rubbish away, went to open the back door and! It wouldn't unlock! Now I know I didn't lock it from the inside and I didn't have a phone or any keys. Anyway, it seems as if the mechanism in my UPVC door had failed, as the fracking thing wasn't "locked" I managed to pry it open with a large flat screwdriver loanded from the neighbours

Please to it's all fixed now and having MTB tools, like Torx wrenches has been a blessing in my "home bodge" repair job.

    now then losers,

    in sicily,

its still nice and warm and am getting some good riding in, downside is the packs of stray dogs that take delight in ensuring i am getting plenty of sprint training in!

only another four weeks here unless the recent despots demise ends our trip early!

Waylander, just get a groundsheet to put the bike on and couple of old curtains/bedsheets to wrap round it if it's particularly mucky or you want to cover it up. Inside of my bike lugger is still pretty pristine even after a trip to Wet Wales :)
