Cycling in Crete

Hi Guys

Anybody ever cycle in crete? Know of any hire places? routes, club runs etc Would rather hire than take my own bike... any help would be great

    When I was there I stayed in a coastal resort and saw a couple of places where you could hire mtbs and road bikes. Can't give you any details (it was a long time ago) but saw similar places in a couple of other towns so I assume it's quite common.
    We hired a car and would suggest being careful: there were a lot of twisty roads inland with long drops off the side and people in rented cars all over the place. And some of the climbs looked bloody hard.
    You'll get a nice cyclist's tan, though :-)
