hamstrings

Hello, I was wondering if anyone can help diagnose a problem.

I've just ramped up my training, and after a long ride, my hamstrings feel strained. It isn't just tiredness, or needing to stretch.

Do you think I have to lower my saddle? I thought I was at a good height after lowering it recently.

Maybe because your legs are tired?

When you say just ramped up your training, what were you doing previous, and what are you doing now?

Saddle too high and/or too far back? Lower at small increments (a few millimetres at a time) till it feels ok. Either lower or push forward - not both at the same time. Lowering also moves you forward slightly. You might only need to move saddle forward.
Or it could be you've ramped things up too much too quickly.

did your hamstring problem coincide with changing your saddle height. sounds like it might have done. i know its going against normal thinking(lowering making it worse) but you need to look at what has changed . the other thing is the ramping up of training- likely to be 1 of the 2.
