Forgive a beginner - I have just bought a new Cateye bike computer with altitude and slope measurement. The instructions say to mount it LEVEL on the stem but the slope on my stem makes this impossible. It says not level may affect the working. I assume the slope measurement/gradient function is worked out by the change in altitude and should therefore not be affected by the angle the computer is mounted - is this right or is it important that it is fixed level?
ya still gotta crank it

Are you sure it's supposed to mount on the stem ?

If it came with a bracket to mount on the handlebars then use that.
