Surprising? No.
I've had abuse from various drivers on a stretch of road which is 'no motor vehicles allowed' for cycling there.

I thought the one in the top middle meant no motorcycle stunt riding......
Seriously though, not sure about middle left. White 30 on blue circle would be a minimum speed limit (i think) so place red line through it would mean end of minimum speed limit I would of thought? I suppose that is covered by "end of 30 mph limit" ..... hhmmmm--

Diversions sign fail on my part.
Then again, 5 minutes trawling google and I still can't find a site to explain what each sign means.
Anyone?None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.0 -

I am glad that is cleared up then :?
That (as other sites) explains what they mean as a group but not individually.
I can guess at - go straight on - but the others?
Circle - Go round in circles?
Square - Go round the block?
Diamond - Oh, you choose. We don't have a clue either?
I only want to know.None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.0 -
I always thought the square/circle/triangle on the diversion sign was a means of identifying which diversion you were following. For example i'm trying to get somewhere but there's a diversion sign marked with a square. I then know I have to follow all diversion signs with a square to get to my destination. If I start following a triangle sign that's probably a different diversion going somewhere else.Bianchi Via Nirone Veloce/Centaur 20100
