I need a new pair of nine speed shifters to replace my exsisting tiagra ones and was wondering whether a pair of nine speed camapgnolo xenon shifters will work as I have read on t'internet that you can a pair of 10 speed campagnolo shifters will shift a 9 speed shimano cassette but have read some conflicting things on variuos forums as I know I have to change the cable routing but other that will a pair of nine speed campagnolo shifts shift over a nine speed shimano cassette?

  • You won't be able to Shimergo a 9 speed cassette with 9 speed campag ergos but you could put on an 8 speed cassette and it would work. For a 9 speed shimano cassette to work you need 10 speed ergos. You could get a shiftmate to make the set up work.

I use 9 speed campag levers on a 9 speed shimano cassette, no problems. Just align rear changer bang on with middle sprocket
