bottom bracket compatibility

Hi, I have an FSA gossamer chainset with a mega exo bb.There is some play in the bb.I have a brand new lx hollowtech 2 shimano bb, is this likely to work as a replacement? If not I have seen shimano road bbs far cheaper than the fsa one will any be compatible with this chainset

    I've used mega exo / tiagra / 105 BBs with an FSA chainset with no problems :D

    I've also used some things on bottoms, without any problems too. :wink:
