Fitting V brakes to cyclocross bikes

Can it be done, just bought one second hand, hasn't even arrived yet and I'm worried about those inefficient cantilever brakes.

Yes, cantis levers have less pull and in a different ratio.
They can work, but you'll need v specific levers.
The vs fit on the same mounts as cantis so that should be fine - you can do away with the hanger on the front and hope the rear hanger doesn't interfere with the extra height of vs.0 -
Mini v's will work with standard leversI've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

Actually its a single speed specialized tricross, uhm that probably didnt help...
but thanks to all for the v brake info, will check it out when the bike arrives next week..........all
