I changed from having a couple of Tacx trainers to a Cycleops one (The Jetfluid Pro II).

The Cycleops is tremendous, very smooth road like feel, progressive and very very consistent.

I train with a power meter and when the power meter had to go for repair I looked at my training files and found that at my threshold interval training power, the speed trace was exactly the same on each interval, on different days, so I was able to use speed as a realistic guide.

I've got a CycleOps Fluid 2. Had it for a couple of years. It's very good, but has recently started making an almighty racket, like a very round ratcheting noise. I'm currently looking into it. Pedalling has started to feel quite "heavy" and I am wondering if the problem that's causing the noise is affecting the inertial load. I can also hear the fluid sloshing around when I turn the wheel - thought not sure if it's always been like that.

Anyway, apologies for the ramble, but it is a good bit of kit otherwise!
