07 meta 5.5 shock length

Hi all,

I need to sort out the rear shock on my 07 meta 5.5, ideally I'd like to upgrade to a RP23 or at least something with a bit more control than the floatR it has. Problem is, prices are an absolute joke - £350 for a shock? Come on, is it just me or do component prices just slowly go up and up.
So, can any one help me with the size of shock my frame needs so I can at least check out ebay and all that jazz before I bow down and take it. Or if any one knows of anything going for sale, please, let me know.

Thanks Folks.

well, the RP23 is one of the best shocks money can buy, prices haven't really changed that much in rear shocks over the years, if anything they've actually come down a bit.

Anyway, my advice, as always, would be to give TFTuned a call. Tell them what bike you have, how much you weigh, what kind of riding you do etc, and they'll supply you the right shock, set up near perfectly for you, complete with fitting kit.
