Even though I'm obnoxiously opinionated, I'm not usually one to recommend NOT buying something, but I've heard so many horror stories of Lapierres breaking recently, on this forum and elsewhere that I cannot honestly recommend that anyone get one. Stay clear of them would be my advice.0

now i have heard that myself prone to frame snapping, so keep the suggestions coming kids0

You can still use your voucher on 2009 models....I got my 2009 Giant Alliance from Pauls...this may be worth a look ? http://www.cyclesuk.com/394-402514
The Canaan is also a great bike.....how about a Proflex...5" travel and you will struggle to get a better spec than this for your money http://www.paulscycles.co.uk/products.p ... 1b0s1p2445 or this one well under budget http://www.paulscycles.co.uk/products.p ... 1b0s1p2443 they are from the USA and have been around for years
Check out Pauls Cycles as they also have the Trance 2009's on offer0 -
pro flex looks a good spec but thought motorworld sold proflex and did not do a bike over 150 quid.. are they a good bike did not realise they did such expensive bikes0

Can't see them being sold at Motorworld....they have a WC race team, but don't really have the name in the UK.....more info here http://www.proflexusa.com/0
