Hi,
Somebody will answer this quickly I have no doubt.
Can I use a shimano cassette removal tool on a SRAM cassette or is it a different fit and I'll need to source a different one (can somebody please recommend?)?
Additionally I assume that the freewheel on the bike will be compatible for a SRAM or Shimano cassette?
Thx
Ian

GT XC1 - the harder you ride it, the better it is
Stumpy FSR 2010 - Rides over everything and everyone

Normally the same fitment/carrier and same tool for removing.
What cassette/hub? Modern?
If the cassette lockring tool fits it will work, have you tried it?0 -

well if it is a cassette then yes it is the same.
if it is a freewheel then it is dependent on the make.
have a read of Freewheels and Freehubs

I think he's on about freehub, not freewheel Nick0

read what he has written.

The freehub body is the same in either case, you can run either cassette and use your existing tools to fit it.SOLD!0
