Blazing Saddles a Secret LA fanboy?...
    What you didn't know ?? :?

Taking the football analogy a bit further .. it's typically an English thing, you know the England team scrape a dodgy 1-0 over Outer Mongolia, and it's all bring on the World Cup !!!
.. who said that, internet forum people ?

Give the SKY boys a break, you can't be expected to win/podium every race!

Next everyone will be chanting "Brailsford out" Typical British Mentality..

exactly, shameful comments being made about this new team rather than get behind them and wish them the best. Silly fans some of them are

Yeah? And what's wrong with a good, British name eh Paulo?

Not supporting something that's British is not 'shameful'. Concentration camps.. now there's a top quality British institution to be proud of!

Things are not intrinsically better because they're British.

    Unless they're Welsh, clearly.

    This describes me.

Wiggins (he seems a really down to earth kinda guy and he likes Paul Weller)
A Schleck (I just think he's an awesome rider)
Armstrong (much respect for anyone who recovers from advanced Cancer to return and podium/win at the TdF, FA Cup, Formula 1 etc etc)

But I'll also support any British effort regardless of the riders on the team.

What if that team was Vino, Ricco and Di Luca?

It's like Astana - Dislike the sponsor. Don't care much for Vino (and never have) Quite like Contador as a rider. So where does that leave me?

People have different takes on how they support things but, to me at least, following a "team" in cycling seems unnatural. Cycling is after all an individual sport practised in teams.

Blimey, I just finished watching the highlights of stage 1. It's as if Paul Sherwen spent the winter thinking "you know, I really think the fans would appreciate it if I spent even more time talking about Lance Armstrong next season".

For example, did you know Lance Armstrong is now also a talent scout, and all neo pros probably got their contract because of Lance Armstrong?

Also, it was nice of Lance Armstrong's new Radio Shack team to lead out Greg Henderson for the sprint.

Did youknow as well, that Lance Armstrong is The Stig?

I thought he was The Stigma?
